Open Studios at Cermak Center 2015

Cermak Center, a former Ford factory, pre-dating the modern assembly-line of Detroit and Chicago area factories, now serves as studio space for Chicago artists in one of the city’s most historic industrial precincts.

In celebration of Chicago Artist Month (October 9, 2015, 6-10pm), Artists of CERMAK CENTER invites the public to OPEN STUDIOS. Come, explore and connect with the residents artists in a intimate setting of their studios. It is an rare opportunity to see the inner workings of artistic practice and gain meaningful insight into the recent work of our residents. Cermak Center is a vibrant and diverse community of artists working in a wide range of media and artistic sensibilities. All are professional artists with an established studio practice and recognized career. Rarely can curators, collectors, dealers, artists, and art lovers see so many recognized artists working under one roof in Chicago. The artist’s studios at Cermak Center are only open to the public one night a year. This is the night!
